How does AI influence your way of doing work now?

AI has been a game changer for my art process. In the past, since most of my work was glitch and photo-manipulation based, I was beholden to my own photography or stock photo sites for source materials to build my artwork. Now that AI is a tool in my art arsenal, I can make any source image I want to build from.

Do you collaborate with other artists?

I love collaborating with other artists, and it's a staple of my presence as an artist. At any given time, I am most likely working on a collab with another artist or planning on collaborating with another artist. I have done so many collaborations that I've started a new series called my "meta-collab series", using AI to blend collab works I've made with other artists into new animations. Stay tuned, and I will be minting those soon…

As a creative person, do you ever have those moments where you feel like everything you create is just shit?

As someone who has been working on art in some capacity almost every day since 2016, I can safely say that most of the work I make is "shit", hahaha. But that's okay! Many of my favourite works wouldn't exist without the duds and flops that lead to them. It's all a journey!

Is it necessary to you to be a part of a creative community of people?

Being part of a community of creative people is extremely important. Not only will fellow creatives be your biggest cheerleaders and supporters, but they are a constant stream of inspiration and will be your go-to network for new opportunities.

What made you pursue NFT art as a medium?

I noticed a few friends making art sales on MakersPlace in early 2019, so I tried it. At the time, I was a struggling freelance artist, and anywhere people were making art sales seemed like a good place to be. I minted my first NFT in April 2019; the rest has been history.

What advice would you give to someone starting in AI art and NFT?

Find your crew. Making art is a massive part of being in this space, but finding a solid network of other artists whose work you dig will not only push you to push yourself and try new things, but their support will lead to many amazing opportunities and situations you wouldn't usually find yourself in.
