Artificial Imagination: Elisey Zhukovsky

Meditation

“Every hidden cell is throbbing with music and life, every fibre thrilling like harp strings.”

― John Muir

Born in 1993 in the city of Zarafshan, in a family of artists. I have been painting since an early age. I am a member of the Creative Union of Artists. I participate in various cultural projects as an artist and musician. I am engaged in manual and digital painting, video art, and live electronic and electro-acoustic music performances. I am currently working in the direction of crypto-art. In my projects, I usually use graphical neural networks and explore the ethereal nature of the world and human interaction with it. I combine science fiction, philosophy, psychology, surrealism and postmodernism.

What was your path to doing what you’re doing now?

I've been painting since I was a kid. Before I took up crypto-art, I studied painting, created oil paintings, painted interiors and exteriors, and created video art and experimental noise music.

I'm thrilled that now I'm applying all that to Crypto-art.

Did you have an “Aha!” moment when you knew that working with AI was what you wanted to do?

I'm delighted that AI speeds up the workflow and opens new possibilities for artistic experimentation. Depending on the task, I use AI to a greater or lesser extent.

How does AI influence your way of doing work now?

I explore space in multidimensionality in most projects, and AI helps me a lot. Right now, I'm combining AI with 3D graphics. For example, the piece "Meditation" was created based on images and textures created using AI.

Do you collaborate with other artists?

I'm open to collaborating with other artists.

As a creative person, do you ever have those moments where you feel like everything you create is just shit?

I face challenges of a technological and technical nature, but I always overcome them and reach my goal.

Is it necessary to you to be a part of a creative community of people?

I'm happy to be part of the creative community and interact with the world through art to improve it.

What made you pursue NFT art as a medium?

Now NFT is the most universal tool for interaction between the artist and the viewer. I am happy to share my artistic projects with the world through NFT.

What advice would you give to someone starting in AI art and NFT?

I can advise aspiring artists to experiment, synthesising their favourite themes and achieving extraordinary results. Believe in your projects and be persistent and move toward your goals.
